Danielle Arbid spent her youth in Lebanon while a civil war was raging. She returned to Beirut in 2000, ten years after the war abruptly ended, to make a film about the aftermath of that bloody conflict. In this personal and incisive documentary, Arbid interrogates a number of Lebanese -- ranging from children to the Minister of the Interior -- about the remnants of a war that appears to have been forgotten. Now a journalist, Arbid isn't afraid to confront former terrorists, from both the Muslim and Christian sides, about their involvement in the killings that devastated the Lebanese population. Her film is a cool, honest look at the hottest of topics -- war and ethnic cleansing. Marc Glassman.
