Thank you from the 2013 Netflix Audience Award Winners

On behalf of Muscle Shoals, it is such a great honor to be chosen for the 2013 Hot Docs Audience Award. Being selected for such a prestigious award from the depth of documentaries at this Premiere Documentary festival is an incredible distinction. I am so pleased that the film moved the audience in some way; there is no greater compliment to a filmmaker.
Thanks to all you cool supporters who contributed to this award, thank you so much for your generosity!

Sincerely,
Greg Camalier (MUSCLE SHOALS)

_______________

I can't thank everyone enough for supporting the Hot Docs Audience Award.  It's a great honor to receive a portion of these generous contributions.
I'm happy to share that this money will in turn be contributed again to the subjects of Blood Brother.  This means so much to be able to offer support to the people in the film that myself and the rest of the Blood Brother team care so much about.  I had a great time at Hot Docs and I especially enjoyed the audiences (you).  Having the privilege to share the film and connect with everyone after the screenings is something that I'll always hold dear.
Thank you for seeing the value in supporting filmmakers!

Sincerely,
Steve Hoover (BLOOD BROTHER)

_______________

It is a real honour for A Whole Lott More to be listed among the audience favourites at Hot Docs. We spent three and a half years making the film with the dream of telling a gripping story about three amazing individuals with developmental disabilities. We hope our film will inspire audiences to take an interest in how more jobs can be created for people with disabilities.

Hot Docs marked the debut for “A Whole Lott More”.  For our film to receive such incredible feedback at the festival is a proud moment - and that kind of feedback makes a difference.  Our Netflix Audience Award tells potential broadcasters and programmers that A Whole Lott More is a film to pay attention to.  Thank you to everyone who came to see the film and to those who contributed to the Hot Docs/Netflix/Doc Ignite Campaign – you have helped to spread the word about a moving and important story.

Victor Buhler (A WHOLE LOTT MORE)

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who supported the 2013 Audience Award presented by Netflix. The $10131 prize will be split between the filmmakers of MUSCLE SHOALS, BLOOD BROTHER and A WHOLE LOTT MORE.
