Gambler
Gambler is both an hilarious and harrowing documentary about film director Nicolas Winding Refn’s struggle to clear himself of personal debt of close to $1 million to secure his family’s financial future and help him get on with his life. Noted for his debut cult movie Pusher in 1996, Refn was forced to file for personal bankruptcy when his long-cherished project Fear X became a box office flop despite good reviews. His only chance to wipe the slate clean and continue his career as filmmaker was to produce Pusher 2 and Pusher 3.
