Jeff
75 minutes | USA | International Premiere | Rating: 14A
To those around him, Jeffrey Dahmer appeared an exceedingly ordinary man. In this well-crafted and creative film, those who knew him reveal how they learned the truth of the horrific evil underlying his seemingly mundane existence. Jeff allows us into the last summer before serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer’s arrest. Through subtle and beautifully eerie reconstruction we follow Dahmer as he would have spent his days, walking around town, interacting with local people and blending into his environment unnoticed. Through interviews with three people with unique insight into his personality and the aftermath of his arrest—the neighbour with whom he shared sandwiches and light conversation; the detective who gained his confession; and the coroner left with the unthinkable task of making sense of what happened—this is a film that looks at evil in plain sight and those that have to deal with the consequences.
