With so much injustice in the world, can one individual make any difference? One Fine Day features six diverse stories of courage and determination that have had an impact on society. A young Iraqi girl refuses to detonate a bomb that was strapped to her by force. An Olympic medalist raises a black gloved fist in a gesture of solidarity. A Chilean student takes a stand on education. A church in Germany contributes to the fall of the Berlin wall. A Chinese hacker defends free speech on the internet. A Burmese monk overtakes the streets to confront a corrupt army. Each of these acts of nonviolent protest has a significant reach and resonance, but not without consequence. What price would you pay to stand up for a cause you believe in? Lynne Crocker
