Doc Soup Tickets

Advance Tickets

Advance tickets for the 6:30 pm and 9:15 pm screenings are $14 and can be purchased online or by phone at 416-637-5150. A select number of tickets are available at the door on the night of the screening (subject to availability). A limited number of FREE tickets for the 9:15 pm screening are available to students with proper ID (subject to availability). These tickets are available starting at 5:30 pm on a first-come, first-served basis.

Same Day Tickets

The box office for same day ticket sales and ticket pickup will open at 5:30 pm. Doors for the 6:30 pm screening will open at 5:45 pm. Doors for the 9:15 pm screening will open 20 minutes following the conclusion of the early screening.

Doc Soup Subscriptions

Subscriptions for the 2011-12 Doc Soup season are no longer available. Subscriptions for next season’s series will go on sale at special prices in March 2012. For more information on subscription options and prices, visit our Subscribe to Doc Soup page on this website.

2012 Hot Docs Ticket Packages and Passes

Ticket packages and passes for the 2012 Festival are now available. Hot Docs ticket packages and passes can be purchased online or by phone at 416-637-5150.

If you are purchasing a 2012 ticket package or pass as a present and would like it placed under a name other than your own, please call us at 416-637-5150.

2012 Hot Docs Ticket Packages

Flexible. Ticket packages can be shared and can be used for more than one ticket per screening. Tickets can be redeemed in advance either by phone or at our box office beginning March 20, 2012, or at the theatre on the day of a screening (subject to availability).

Hot Docs 10 Ticket Package ($98 until March 19; then $115) BUY NOW

Hot Docs 20 Ticket Package ($180 until March 19; then $205) BUY NOW

2012 Hot Docs Passes

No need to select your tickets in advance. Simply show your pass at the screening venue to redeem your ticket. Passes are non-transferrable.

Bloor Hot Docs Cinema All Access Pass ($98 until March 19; then $115)

This pass option allows the bearer access to any regular or Late Night Hot Docs screening at The Bloor Hot Docs Cinema during the 2012 Festival. The new home of Hot Docs, The Bloor Hot Docs Cinema is undergoing impressive renovations and will play host to some of the biggest, hottest docs at the festival each year. Enjoy over 25 of this year’s finest docs (including many Special Presentations) for less than $5 per film!

Hot Docs Premium Pass ($210 until March 19; then $255)

Access for one person to all Hot Docs screenings (excluding those running concurrently)

Hot Docs Premium Pass For Two ($350 until March 19; then $405)

This pass option allows the bearer to bring any guest to any regular or late night Hot Docs screening during the 2012 Festival. This can be the same guest for all screenings, or a different guest each time… the choice is yours!

2012 Kickstart Ticket Packages

Get expert filmmaker advice with access to Kickstart panels. See some great films while you’re at it.

Kickstart Ticket Package ($80 until March 19; then $90)

Perfect for emerging and mid-career filmmakers or those wishing to further enrich their Hot Docs experience. Kickstart is a popular half-day series of panels devoted to conveying fundamental information about producing and distributing documentary films. In the past, these valuable professional development panels have covered such topics as copyright clearances, musical scoring, new media components, and the challenges surrounding making your first film.

Access to all Kickstart panels on Wednesday, May 2;
Two (2) tickets to any regular Hot Docs screening;
One (1) free ticket to each Late Night screening.
