Toronto, March 23, 2010 – Between April 29 and May 9, Toronto’s downtown core – from the Annex to Yorkville, and spreading out to the University of Toronto campus and Little Italy – will be taken over by Hot Docs screenings, audiences and international delegates.

Hot Docs is thrilled to announce our return to the stunning Winter Garden Theatre for the on April 29, 2010 opening night screenings of Thomas Balmès BABIES and Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen’s RUSH: BEYOND THE LIGHTED STAGE. The second annual opening night fundraising gala will return this year to the ROM’s Chen Crystal Court. Combining our celebration with a focus on the environment, Hot Docs welcomes TD Canada Trust, our Green Initiatives Partner, as the sponsor of Impact: A Green Gala.

The documentary Box Office, located at 55 Avenue Road (2 blocks north of Bloor St. W, on the lower level of Hazelton Lanes) is open for business, selling passes and tickets as well as offering Festival-goers a stylish lounge to peruse screening schedules, courtesy of EQ3 and documentary.

The Rogers Industry Centre returns to Victoria College and will feature delegate services and events, including registration, The Doc Shop, Industry Conference Sessions, Micro Meetings and the NFB Delegate Lounge and Doc Summit.

All venues, with the exception of the washroom facilities at the Bloor Cinema and The Royal, are wheelchair accessible. Hot Docs is committed to providing accessible environments and to meeting the accommodation needs of all of our audience members and industry delegates.
