HOT DOCS PARTNERS WITH BROOKLYN’S ROOFTOP FILMS FOR ROOFTOP DOCS OUTDOOR SCREENINGS DURING 2010 FESTIVAL
For immediate release
Toronto, April 14, 2010 – Hot Docs, in partnership with Brooklyn’s Rooftop Films, will celebrate springtime in Toronto by presenting three special open-air screenings in its new Rooftop Docs series during this year’s Festival, taking place April 29 to May 9. Hot Docs and Rooftop Films will take over the top tier of the Citipark Cumberland Garage in downtown Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood on the nights of Thursday, May 6, to Saturday, May 8, presenting film screenings and live music, and offering locally brewed pilsner courtesy of Steamwhistle Breweries and free popcorn courtesy of Whole Foods Market.
“Rooftop Docs presents a new and exciting viewing experience for our audiences, offering more opportunities to meet and socialize with one another,” says Hot Docs executive director Chris McDonald. “The outdoor screenings we’ve attended at other festivals are always a thrill. Docs, drinks and popcorn under the stars – what could be better?”
