Corus-Hot Docs Funds Recipients 2010

Round Six: Completion Fund

Eligible projects were considered by the Corus-Hot Docs Completion Fund Selection Committee, which included Nathalie Barton, President and Producer, Informaction Films; Sean Farnel, Director of Programming, Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, and Samantha Linton, Director, Factual Content, Corus. Three completion grants totalling $142,000 were awarded to the following projects:

COLOUR ME

COLOUR ME follows motivational speaker Anthony McLean into ethnically diverse Brampton, Ontario, where he is forced to critically examine his own identity while mentoring six youth grappling with their own.

WHEN DREAMS TAKE FLIGHT follows a group of university students in Ontario who are building, and hoping to fly, their own human-powered ornithopter.


Round Six: Development Fund

Eligible projects were considered by the Corus-Hot Docs Development Fund Selection Committee, which included Lynne Carter, Production Executive-Factual Content, Corus; Sean Farnel, Director of Programming, Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, and Mila Aung-Thwin, Vice President and Co-Founder, EyeSteelFilm. Five no-interest loans totalling $61,000 were awarded to the following projects:
