How do I access The Doc Shop?

All registered Hot Docs passholders will receive an invitation to create a Doc Shop account. This email will be addressed from [email protected]

After you have received your Doc Shop invitation email, click the “Join” button to proceed to the account-creation page. At the account-creation page, you will have the opportunity to verify your name and email address, as well as to create a password. Please make note of your password, as Hot Docs staff will not be able to verify it for you.

After creating your account, you can log in here: watch.docshoponline.ca

I haven’t received an email to create my Doc Shop account. What should I do?

If you are a registered Hot Docs delegate and have not received a Doc Shop invitation link, please check your spam folder. If cannot locate an invitation email, please contact [email protected] to request one.

Can I share my login with a colleague?

No, please don’t share your login info as it can only be used by one person at a time.

How do I access the Online Community?

When your registration was processed, you were sent a link to reset your password. Please check your spam folder. If you cannot find the email, let us know at [email protected].

Once you’ve reset your password, you can access the Online Community here: hotdocs.ca/i/hotdocsfest.force.com/industrycommunity/s/login/

Do I have the same login details for The Doc Shop and the Online Community?

No. Your login details are different on each platform. You will receive an email with your Doc Shop login from [email protected] on April 30.

You received your Online Community password reset email when your registration was processed.

Is there a delegate contact list available to download?

No. You can find contact information for registered delegates in the Online Community.

Where can I access the Guide to Decision Makers?

The Guide to Decision Makers is available in the Online Community. Registered delegates can access it here: hotdocsfest.force.com/industrycommunity/s/gdm-guide.

I represent a decision maker (broadcaster, distributor, funder, etc. and would like to be included in the Guide to Decision Makers? How can I do that?

I want to upload my film to The Doc Shop. What should I do?

If you are a Hot Docs All Access Online passholder and wish to upload a film to the Doc Shop, please contact [email protected].

I am experiencing technical difficulties while browsing or attempting to play a video in The Doc Shop. What should I do?

If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please send a description of the issue you are experiencing to [email protected]. Please include the device type, which browser you are using, the error message (if applicable) and, if possible, a screenshot of the issue.

Which web browsers work best with The Doc Shop

The Doc Shop is best accessed via Chrome or Safari.

Is the Doc Shop available in all regions of the world?

Yes, the Doc Shop is accessible to all Hot Docs All-Access Online pass holders, both within Canada and around the world.

How long does my Doc Shop and Online Community access last?

You have access to the Online Community until registration opens for the 2021 Festival.

Access to The Doc Shop is available until May 31.
