How do I access the online event?

After April 20, you will receive an email with log in details for Swapcard, our online event platform. Click on the button in the email to connect to the online platform.

Please note that member accounts are limited to a single user and will be locked if shared with multiple users.

Can I access the event from anywhere in the world?

Yes, none of the content will be geo-blocked.

I am interested in meeting broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, festival programmers and buyers. How can I contact those people?

You will be able to search for them in the Online Community, and later on in Swapcard, our virtual event platform.

Can I share my login with a colleague?

No, please don’t share your login info as it can only be used by one person at a time.

Is there a list available of everyone participating at Hot Docs?

You can see who else is attending by accessing the Online Community. You can message other attendees by clicking on their profile.

During the event, you will have access to the Attendees list on our virtual event platform, Swapcard, where you are able to chat and have virtual meetings with other delegates.

How do I access the Online Community?

When your registration was processed, you were sent a link to reset your password. Please check your spam folder. If you cannot find the email, let us know at [email protected].

Once you’ve reset your password, you can access the Online Community here: hotdocs.ca/i/hotdocsfest.force.com/industrycommunity/s/login/

Where can I access the Guide to Decision Makers?

The Guide to Decision Makers will be available in the Online Community in April.

I represent a decision maker (broadcaster, distributor, funder, etc. and would like to be included in the Guide to Decision Makers? How can I do that?

Can I access the event on my phone or tablet?

Yes. You will need to download the Swapcard app on the App Store or Google Play.

Will I be able to access the films and conference sessions after the event is over?

Unless otherwise indicated, all sessions will be available until late May. Live events and socials will not be recorded.

What are the different ways to interact with other members during the event?

You can interact with other members in a variety of ways: make contacts, send messages, organize video conferences, write in open discussions, communicate with exhibitors via their virtual booths, book meetings with other members and attend live social events.
