Following the screening of Nothing Fancy: Diana Kennedy, escape for a vibrant four-plate tasting menu at Rosalinda, Toronto’s only Mexican plant-based restaurant, by the notable culinary minds of Grant Van Gameren, Max Rimaldi and Jamie Cook. Post-brunch, Rosalinda chef de cuisine Matthew Ravenscroft and El Rey head chef Rodrigo Aguilar will chat about the celebration of Mexican culture and cuisine in Toronto.


  • Bocadillo - Tostada de Guacamole: Comal toasted tortilla with pureed avocado and coriander pesto topped with roasted poblano pico de gallo and toasted cashews
  • Entrada - Arroz y Tostones: Poblano pepper white rice with chiles capones, topped with almond requeson and hibiscus compressed onion, accompanied with plantain tostones
  • Principal - Papadzules: Soft fried tortilla filled with roasted cauliflower sofrito covered in pipian verde sauce and topped with grilled garlic scapes and jalapeño compressed onion
  • Postre - Tamal de Hoja Santa: White chocolate corn-masa cake with hoja santa mousse and pineapple meringue and tamarind-morita sauce, topped with cacao, bee pollen and berries and passion fruit and pineapple granita)

Join us for a decadent Sunday affair as we pair the return of past Festival favourite Kings of Pastry with a conversation about the influence of France in the world of dessert with guests.

While many new faces have joined Toronto’s pie scene, Pizzeria Libretto was one of the first gamechangers to revolutionize how we eat pizza. Following the 3:45 p.m. screening of Alla Salute, take a hands-on pizza-making workshop with Pizzeria Libretto’s executive chef and partner Rocco Agostino. We’ll explore the origins of Neapolitan pizza, and how food creates warm memories and community.


  • Light snacks
  • Neopolitan-style pizza (created by guests) - ingredients to make a margherita pizza plus optional toppings: pepperoni, ‘Nduja sausage, black olives, eggplant, fresh arugala
